Pathway Highlights

This three-series course is designed to prepare students for a career in Audio/Video Technology and Film.  Students will work individually and collaboratively through all phases of production and produce projects under the guidance of the instructor.  Upon successful competition of all three courses within the AVTF pathway, students will take the End of Pathway assessment (EOPA).  The current EOPA is the NOCTI Television Production Exam.  Learning is also enhanced throughout the year with guest speakers and fieldtrips.

Course Requirements

Over the period of one school year (on a trimester basis), students will complete three rigorous courses:

  • Audio, Video, Technology & Film I
  • Audio, Video, Technology & Film II
  • Audio, Video, Technology & Film III

Certifications

Students enrolled in the AVTF pathway have the opportunity to earn three college credits hours in a communication course if they score higher than 70% on the NOCTI Television Production exam.  All students will also earn a Ladder Safety certification as part of the safety unit.
